Spring Update from Olympia for the Kramberries!!

 Dearest Family and Friends!

Greetings and salutations. We hope this notes finds you all healthy and increasingly crawling out of our shelters from this last years virus experience.  We know there is still a long way to go but certainly some encouraging signs for our country at least.

Ada and I are currently in Olympia overlooking the beautiful Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier.  It is certainly good to be back in the Northwest.  We are staying with our good friend Amanda who is about to leave her home here and begin an exciting journey of her own.

To update from the Jan. blog entry (I know it's been awhile- where did the winter go??) We again were in San Diego for the winter. Stayed put given the virus other than a trip to Denver to visit my brother Scott and his dear mate Lou Ann. It was great to see them and help out while Scott was in recovery from a knee replacement.  The winter was filled with some good time with Sasha, kayaking, hiking, walking and sailing.  It was again a good place to hang out for the winter.  We made some new good friends and enjoyed some time with folks we met last year.

We left San Diego on April 20th and headed to Palm Springs area. Stayed at a fun campground and had some good time with our cousin Suzy and Gerry Blatt and their daughter Carly.  It was great to see them and get caught up.  We also had a great day in Joshua Tree National Park and took a good hike.

We then went up to Sequoia National Park and stayed at a campground just outside of the park. We weren't able to get far into the park given cold snowy weather, but it was great being in that territory.

Next stop was the Grass Valley bed and breakfast at brother Andy's and Carols farm. Always a treat to live the farm life for short periods.  The work load is never ending on the farm with many sheep, dogs and projects to do. They are being great stewards of that land and it's great to keep up with the changes.

From Grass Valley we headed north to Bend, Oregon for the night and then Spokane with our good friends Matt and Kristen. We always enjoy hanging on there ranch and helping where we can.

Spent Mothers Day in Walla Walla with Kelsey and Shari had a great visit with them. Saw there new property where in the next year or two a house will be built.  A beautiful setting in the midst of wheat and grape fields. Very excited to see this progress.

From Walla Walla, went back to Spokane for a few days then over to Anacortes, Wa. where our boat has been sitting waiting for us to climb back on.  After 10 days of work, the boat is about ready to be launched.  We also sold our little trailer in hopes of getting a larger trailer in the fall. It will be interesting.  It is a great time to sell a trailer. Hopefully the fall will be a good time to buy. Time will tell.

Then came to Olympia via truck and will be here for 2 weeks.

Ada and I continue to enjoy this lifestyle.  Always something new. New people, new places and new challenges.  We are planning to carry on as long as we are able and its fun.

Our best to you all on your journeys! Love and light and music!!!

  1. Love the update and love the pictures. Y'all are living the dream. Paddy would have loved what you are doing, but I couldn't let go that much. Namaste.
