 Family and Friends,

Well- it has been awhile. A Summer has come and gone and Fall is here. As I am preparing this blog entry I am sitting on Island Spirit in the midst of a fall storm. We are at a marina in Anacortes, safely tied up while rain and 20 knot winds are blowing our boat. How quickly our weather has shifted from summer to fall. And we are getting moisture!!! How wonderful.

We got through the Summer up here with clean air. How lucky are we. Every day we gave thanks for the ability to breath air not filled with fire smoke. Our hearts have gone out to folks struggling with the impacts of the western fires.

We spent the summer in the southern Salish Sea. We did not get into Canada even though it opened up mid summer. We got down to Olympia for a week or so to attend our nieces wedding and spend some time with our kids Kelsey, Sheri and Sasha. Had a great visit there and got to see many of our Oly friends. Also was able to join Connie and Scott for his birthday celebration at McMicken Island. Fun fun!!

We had several guests on the boat this summer, all very special for us. My cousins from Florida, Bob and Micky, and their son Matt and friend Selene had a day out on the water with us.  A few of Ada's friends Rhonda and Nancy came on the boat for a number of days- boat with filled with southern energy- fun for a northern boy. We also had our good friend Amanda and daughter Tori join us for a few days ( where we saw a pod of Orca right our from Anacortes).  We also had Mark and Anne with Mark's family on the boat for a day. What a treat to get to know grown up kids and grand kids. Our good friends Tom and Karen joined us for an overnight. We had a few days with Steve and Wendy in Sequim Bay.  And some new friends Greg and Marlene met us there on our anniversary for a few days on their boat.  We had a good visit with Mark and Elise in Mystery Bay when they were up here on their rv.  Recently some friends from San Diego joined us for a day-Irene and Steve.  I have included pictures of some of the visits.

As many of you know, we sold our rv trailer in the spring with plans to get a larger rv in the fall. That all came into place. We got a 34' fifth wheel which required us to get another truck that could haul the trailer. We are excited about the room of the trailer given our current lifestyle being on the move.  It's called an Artic Fox made in Oregon. It will certainly be an adjustment to pulling this trailer, but they say it will come quickly.

Our friend Nancy is coming for a visit from Arizona for a few days and we look forward to seeing her. She and Pat were the folks that got us interested in RVing. They were good mentors for us. Ada and Nancy are going to take a trip out to the coast for a few days and then we will meet up in Olympia.

We are picking up our trailer on Oct. 13 and Island Spirit is being hauled out on Oct. 15.  We will put the boat to sleep while we get settled on the trailer. And so the cycle goes.

We have made it through the summer with no problems with Covid.  We feel fortunate. It has been a hard year for so many people. We are thankful with have leaders in place taking this seriously and doing what they can do to address the challenges.

Included are some pictures of the summer.  We hope this blog finds you all healthy and grinning at least once a day. Our life is precious.  Our relationship with you is precious. Cheers!!

Spring Update from Olympia for the Kramberries!!

 Dearest Family and Friends!

Greetings and salutations. We hope this notes finds you all healthy and increasingly crawling out of our shelters from this last years virus experience.  We know there is still a long way to go but certainly some encouraging signs for our country at least.

Ada and I are currently in Olympia overlooking the beautiful Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier.  It is certainly good to be back in the Northwest.  We are staying with our good friend Amanda who is about to leave her home here and begin an exciting journey of her own.

To update from the Jan. blog entry (I know it's been awhile- where did the winter go??) We again were in San Diego for the winter. Stayed put given the virus other than a trip to Denver to visit my brother Scott and his dear mate Lou Ann. It was great to see them and help out while Scott was in recovery from a knee replacement.  The winter was filled with some good time with Sasha, kayaking, hiking, walking and sailing.  It was again a good place to hang out for the winter.  We made some new good friends and enjoyed some time with folks we met last year.

We left San Diego on April 20th and headed to Palm Springs area. Stayed at a fun campground and had some good time with our cousin Suzy and Gerry Blatt and their daughter Carly.  It was great to see them and get caught up.  We also had a great day in Joshua Tree National Park and took a good hike.

We then went up to Sequoia National Park and stayed at a campground just outside of the park. We weren't able to get far into the park given cold snowy weather, but it was great being in that territory.

Next stop was the Grass Valley bed and breakfast at brother Andy's and Carols farm. Always a treat to live the farm life for short periods.  The work load is never ending on the farm with many sheep, dogs and projects to do. They are being great stewards of that land and it's great to keep up with the changes.

From Grass Valley we headed north to Bend, Oregon for the night and then Spokane with our good friends Matt and Kristen. We always enjoy hanging on there ranch and helping where we can.

Spent Mothers Day in Walla Walla with Kelsey and Shari had a great visit with them. Saw there new property where in the next year or two a house will be built.  A beautiful setting in the midst of wheat and grape fields. Very excited to see this progress.

From Walla Walla, went back to Spokane for a few days then over to Anacortes, Wa. where our boat has been sitting waiting for us to climb back on.  After 10 days of work, the boat is about ready to be launched.  We also sold our little trailer in hopes of getting a larger trailer in the fall. It will be interesting.  It is a great time to sell a trailer. Hopefully the fall will be a good time to buy. Time will tell.

Then came to Olympia via truck and will be here for 2 weeks.

Ada and I continue to enjoy this lifestyle.  Always something new. New people, new places and new challenges.  We are planning to carry on as long as we are able and its fun.

Our best to you all on your journeys! Love and light and music!!!
