To Our Family and Friends, It is now Nov. 2, a day before election. Yahoo!! We are ready for a change of focus. We are writing this entry from Grass Valley visiting my brothers and sister-in- law's farm.  Fall is well underway. We are on our migration down to the sunshine of southern Calif.  You will see a picture of a visit at a hemp farm that was very interesting in Jacksonville, Or. And we stayed at Emigrant Lake for a few nights.

In mid Sept. we were sheltered on our boat from a storm in Bellingham Bay at the public marina. The storm was a major gale with 40 knot winds at the dock. It was quite an experience and fortunately we were safe at harbor. Since our last blog entry we have at Prevost Harbor on Stewart Island hiking and enjoying the beauty. We also spent time at Shoal Bay on Lopez Island. That bay we entered in dense fog having come from Bellingham Harbor. It was quite an experience to be in such thick fog. Our radar was invaluable!! We have also spent time at Sucia Island during the intense smoke from all of the terrible fires. A few days we had to stay in the boat given the smoke, as many other had to do. We then headed back to Sucia during the last few weeks of our water time. We had a great visit with our friends Kristen and Matt over labor day. During that visit we went to South Lopez and and anchored in MacKaye Harbor. One day of the visit we had very strong winds. That is the way of boating. It was a great visit!! We have a picture of Matt talking with Jose, our friendly parrot. It was quite a conversation!!! Our pictures share some of the smoke, travel in fog and alot of the beauty. We continue to feel blessed with having so much water time during the pandemic. The next phase of our mystic journey will took us back to Sucia and Stewart Island. We also spent a few days at James Island enjoying beautiful sun and hiking.

We then went to Anacortes to prepare the boat for hauling out. Had a great few days with Amanda prior to us all heading to Olympia for a week or so. Then back to Anacortes to put the boat to bed for the winter. We felt very fortunate to have spent the summer on the Salish Sea. Especially during this pandemic!

We have also included a little bit of music from the pilot house (http://youtu.be/3LfAt1Pzel0). We hope you enjoy. Our best to all. We hope you are safe and gearing up for active voting!!!! If the current character in the White House stays, my hair is going to get too long!!!!! Ada May and Ricky Ray
