Our visit to Casa Grande was motivated to see our good friend Nancy Mackin. She has settled in at Palm Creek Resort enjoying the sun and wonderful activities at the facility. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, playing music and just hanging out. Played some music with a dobro player which was quite fun. We also went to the Biosphere 2 which was quite an experience. The pictures of the glass building with lush vegetation is of the Biosphere. The University of Arizona is managing the facility and they are doing some very interesting research there. It was truly a unique experience. I also included 2 pics of the lungs of the Biosphere. Huge rooms that adjusted to the air in the facility. Incredible engineering.
And the hiking in the high desert was great. We loved the cactus and how they formed different shapes. I have included one that looks like a family of 3 hugging each other!!!
Hope you all are doing well. And our great friends in the NW are hanging in there with the rainy winter. Sounds like a tough one!

ReplyDeleteIt sort of looks like where we are but more modern - the landscape looks similar tho. The difference is that you can understand what the tour leader is saying. :) We're having a great time not understanding the tour guides!
